ZSL Whipsnade Zoo aimed to break the World Record for the largest origami elephants display ever.
This was to help raise awareness of the rapidly declining number of Asian elephants left in the wild.
They aim to have 30,000 one to represent every elephants still alive.

I was one of the main organiser and I contacted the wordwide origami network to raise awareness of this attempt.
Folders from all around the world sent in thousands fo origami elephants of all designs.

I was also adjudicating along with several other members of the British Origami Soceity.
We spent two 9 hour days counting each of the elephants.

The previous record was just 1500 out final count was 337641!
